MexicoIsla Mujeres: Island Off Cancun
Spending your vacation in the beaches of Cancun is nice, but there are a lot of other options that you can take on from there. For one, you can ride a ferry and land on Isla Mujeres, located eight miles off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. There's also Dolphin Discovery, a small marine park in the northwestern coast that allows you to have one-on-one interaction with the dolphins, sea lions, and other marine animals hosted there. For those who are interested to know more about their environment, a visit to Isla Mujeres while you are in Cancun should be in order. Also located in the southern tip of the island is Punta Sur, a small ruin that used to be a temple for Ixchel, the Mayan goddess of fertility. Fertility rites were once held here centuries ago. There's also a modern sculpture park that may interest you to visit. But what makes Isla Mujeres really stand out are the seafood restaurants. There are a lot of places where you can eat seafood such as shrimps and crabs cooked using local recipes. It's a definite must-try! You can talk about...
